Challenge
Going into 2009 Dreamcarhire.com were a profitable business in a shrinking market. Hiring out luxury sports cars became a real challenge with the economic climate and the business saw a shift towards the Internet as an opportunity to both cut costs and increase sales leads.
Their key considerations were:
- Developing a site that could handle inventory and part-booking (a £5,000 deposit on each car meant that it was impossible to book completely online)
- Developing a site that could handle inventory and part-booking (a £5,000 deposit on each car meant that it was impossible to book completely online)
Solution
After a series of workshops and fast-track immersion into their business, our planners set to work to build a new and improved website. The key to our solution was to ensure that the customer journey was right to enable a visitor to come “blind” through the search engines and make an enquiry on a £1,500/ weekend luxury expense in one visit.
Deliverables we have provided to date include:
- Customer research and persona creation
- Wireframe planning and conversion optimisation
- Developed clickable prototype for user testing
- Complete revision of their online marketing to deliver ROI and better quality leads
- Full A/B testing strategy to perfect conversions
Results
The old site used to generate an average of 6 leads per day for the sales team. Within one week of re-launch the site was generating in excess of 45 - a 750% increase!
- The site has gained higher positioning in the search engines since launch, which has allowed the client to cut marketing expenditure while still enjoying an increased number of quality leads
- They have just reported their biggest grossing quarter in their five year history, which they attribute completely to the new website.
